Sinclair Community College is Hiring a Coordinator for STEM Outreach - Unmanned Aerial Systems Near Dayton, OH
The Coordinator for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Outreach position exists to provide support for Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) initiatives within the college. The position facilitates and accomplishes UAS and AAM related STEM content development and instruction, as well as event planning and facilitation. The position works for the Associate Director for Advanced Air Mobility Training, Unmanned Aerial Systems. The starting salary for this position is $48,726.00 and is determined commensurate with education and experience. Why work for Sinclair College?

Principal Accountabilities
Plan and organize UAS and AAM related STEM events for elementary, middle, and high school students and teachers, college students and faculty, and members of the general public
Facilitate and support the execution of UAS and AAM related STEM events for elementary, middle, and high school students and teachers, college students and faculty, and members of the general public
Support broader UAS Department activities including flight testing, training, and consulting
Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director for Advanced Air Mobility Training
Requirements
High School diploma is required; associate or bachelor’s degree in related area of study is preferred
Experience planning, supporting, and executing UAS and AAM related STEM activities, including during public outreach, camps, and other events is required
UAS operational flight experience on a variety of small UAS is required; Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized training certifications preferred
Completion of UAS or AAM Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized training certifications is preferred
Completion of UAS or AAM related data analytics software authorized training certifications is preferred
Completion of UAS or AAM related modeling and simulation software authorized training certifications is preferred
Background in general aviation technologies and operations is preferred
Ability to work well as part of a team and individually with limited oversight is required
Strong PC skills, including standard office tools and industry specific software packages is required
Excellent oral and written communication and listening skills, including experience in preparing and delivering reports and presentations is required
Ability to read, research, and comprehend technical and regulatory documents
Demonstrated experience supporting a wide variety of technical and operations projects
Current Remote Pilot Certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is required
Any level of a current traditional aircraft Pilot Certificate issued by the FAA is preferred
Current or ability to obtain a FAA Second Class Medical is preferred
