What are the responsibilities and job description for the Video Editor position at Sinclair Inc.?
KMPH/KFRE has an exciting full-time opportunity for an Associate Producer (Digital)/Video Editor! This position is available for the right person with the right attitude and skillset. Willing to work early mornings. Position's primary duty is to write local stories for digital platforms and linear television but other duties include video editing, running studio cameras, prompter, audio, with the opportunity to also learn technical directing and directing of newscasts. Serve as a backup producer to other morning show producers as needed.
- Primary duty is to write local stories for digital platforms and linear television
- Editing video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period pieces
- Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
- Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
- Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Some College or minimum one year relative experience in the field
- Knowledge of Avid Media Composer and Adobe Photoshop
- Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment
The base salary compensation range for this role is $16.50 to $17.50 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates’ relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave and employee stock purchase plan.
