Kennel Technician

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. As a Kennel Technician, you will play a crucial role in the care and well-being of our dogs. If you are passionate about dogs and enjoy working in a dynamic environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive dog care including feeding, watering, monitoring potty breaks/play groups, and occasionally applying medication (as needed).
- Handle dogs with care and confidence, demonstrating proficiency in dog handling, safety, and situational awareness.
- Occasionally provide basic grooming and bathing tasks.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed to assist with dog handling/care and facility cleanliness/maintenance.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards within the kennel facility including cleaning and disinfecting kennels and dog surroundings.
- Collaborate and communicate with Coaches and Trainers and assist with care procedures as required.
- Support dog training efforts by following basic protocols.

Experience:
- Experience in animal care, animal handling, or related field is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic animal behavior and handling techniques.
- Familiarity with common animal health issues and first aid procedures.

Requirements:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, but as a vital part of the team.
- Physical stamina and ability to work with dogs of all breeds.
- Positive Attitude

We are a small team dedicated to improving the relationship between dogs and their owners and we are looking to add another member! If you have no experience with dogs or animals, but you bring a positive attitude, dedication to the care of dogs, and a willingness to learn, we are happy to provide on the job training and encourage you to apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
