Job Summary: The Swing Reach Operator is responsible for operating a swing reach truck (also known as a turret truck) to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within a warehouse or distribution center. This role ensures the efficient and safe handling of products, contributing to the overall productivity and success of the warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Equipment Operation:
• Operate swing reach trucks to load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure proper function and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment.
• Inventory Management:
• Accurately record the movement of products using inventory control systems.
• Perform physical counts of products and reconcile with the inventory management system.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full inventory audits to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels by reporting discrepancies and damages.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Follow company policies and procedures, including the proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Participate in safety training sessions and contribute to a safe working environment.
• Product Handling:
• Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage.
• Load and unload products from trucks and containers.
• Assist in unloading and palletizing containers.
• Perform tasks such as picking, packing, and staging products for shipment.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding workflow and any issues encountered.
• Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as general maintenance and cleaning.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid certification to operate a swing reach truck.
• Proven experience as a swing reach operator or similar role in a warehouse setting.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory systems.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Basic computer skills for inventory management and data entry.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to [insert weight limit] pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, and reaching.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments within the warehouse.

Work Schedule:

• 7am-3:30pm
• Overtime and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
