My family is looking for intermittent assistance for my mother (in her 50s) with cognitive and visual spatial deficits, (potentially Alzheimer's but we don't have a diagnosis yet). It would be intermittent since it is supplemental care when myself or my family isn't available to assist. We mostly just need someone in the house to ensure her overall safety, but she does require supervision and a lot of cues with toileting and eating. She will need someone to microwave food, turn on the tv, etc. My mother is physically independent (absolutely no lifting required) and very pleasant and cooperative. She has pretty good insight into her deficits and is always willing to accept help. The job would be perfect for either a high school/college student pursuing a healthcare career or a retired individual looking to make a little extra cash.
