Position Title:Electrician (077)- 3rd Shift

Position Summary:

Plan, Layout and perform worknecessary to install, maintain, repair and regulate plant electrical systemsand components including motors, controls, generators, transformers, signalsystems, etc. Wire complicated circuits; calculate, balance and regulateloads.Repair motors, starters,controls; install and wire centralized control panels; layout and wiredistribution centers and circuits; machine tools controls including numericalcontrolled machines, timing and lighting systems and devices.Diagnose, isolate and correct electricaltroubles.Determine materials needed andplan work to utilize to best advantage.Use appropriate test instruments, gear and equipment to test and insureproper operating functioning of circuits, controls, switches, etc.Work under minimum supervision andguidance.May be required to use,maintain and safeguard calibrated certified equipment.Performs all tasks and duties assigned in asafe, timely, highly productive and efficient manner; following all qualityprocedures and processes where applicable.

Education and Experience:

High school educationrequired; trade school certification highly desirable.Position requires comprehensive knowledge ofthe theories and practices of complex electrical principles and reactions andelectronic devices and systems normally acquired through participation andcompletion of a recognized apprenticeship program and by attending specializedschools, machine tool and electronic manufacturing classes.Preference in employment, promotions andtransfers will be given to those with previous experience, good attendance andwork history.
