CARPENTER

MAINTENANCE DIVISION
Job Summary:
Participate in the repair and maintenance of park rides and facilities using standard carpentry and construction
methods.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work as part of assigned crew performing rough and finish carpentry work and facility repairs.
• Perform daily, weekly and monthly inspections, routine preventative maintenance – could include
  annual rehab/rebuild on wooden roller coaster.
• Build small buildings, counters and fixtures throughout the park.
• Maintain roofs, floors, and siding on all wooden structures.
• Make wide variety of repairs including repairs to buildings, roofs, fences, gates, walls, flooring, doors,
  stairs, carpet, fixtures, etc.
• Pour concrete for buildings, rides, and sidewalks.
• Keep a daily duty log of maintenance work performed as well as accurate records of preventive
  maintenance utilizing Maximo system.
• Support the company mantra; friendly, clean, fast and safe service.
• Adhere to all department and company safety policies; wear appropriate safety equipment as
  required.
• Completion of projects and assignments as assigned. 

Skills and Qualification:

• Should possess high school diploma or equivalent.
• Should possess a thorough understanding of carpentry procedures and methods.
• Must possess a working knowledge of the use of hand and power tools and large power equipment including table
  saw, drill press, band saw, etc.
• Must be able to read blueprints and interpret rough layouts or sketches.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must possess the mental and physical capacities necessary to perform the primary job duties, must be able to
  stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, kneel, squat, twist, push and pull and lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs;
  must be able to reach overhead.
• Must be able to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Must be able to perform work functions at heights in excess of 100’ (would include roller coasters).
• Must possess a valid state driver’s license and a clear driving record.
• Must be willing to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
