We are looking for a Financial Analyst that applies principles of financial analysis to develop and evaluate data. Prepare reports across various areas of the business focused on Supply Chain and including strategic sourcing cost savings initiatives, purchasing, inventory, cost accounting, sales / margin, and manufacturing data. Based on the analysis of data and reports, provides commentary and recommendations to various levels of management.

This will be a hybrid role located at one of the following facilities: Cleveland, TN, Columbus, OH, Reno, Nevada or Phoenix, AZ.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, Pricing, Cost Accounting and Plant Financial Managers to review, analyze and prepare various reports
  • Process and report on supply chain cost saving initiatives
  • Collaborate with Sourcing and Operations to complete key steps in external product pricing process
  • Identify opportunities for margin improvement through variance analysis, improved purchasing behavior, and other decision support analysis
  • Compile and analyze commodity data and procurement performance over time
  • Collaborate on maintenance of purchase price lists within ERP system
  • Collaborate with Cost Accounting and Finance departments personnel to manage standard costing
  • Participate in various Finance team initiatives in the areas of: working capital, price/usage variance, continuous improvement savings, sourcing/procurement, commodities, and people data.
  • Communicate accounting, budgeting, commodities and other financial concepts and transaction details clearly and concisely across the organization from Production Associates to Executive Leadership.
  • Support Finance team with special projects and process improvement initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from accredited four-year college or university in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management or related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in the food manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, inventory management and cost control principles
  • Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications; Sage X3 a plus
  • Advanced proficiency with use of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of and willingness to learn and develop company Business Intelligence systems
  • Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently, meet deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Ability to effectively summarize and clearly communicate in written, verbal and presentation form
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with direct reports, peers and company leadership
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and strong commitment to data integrity
  • Duties may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
