Skill Bird LLC is Hiring an Energy Manager Near Spring, TN

Job Title: Energy Managers

Location: Spring Hill, TN & Fort Wayne, IN (Onsite)

The Energy Managers in the GM team are considered the on-site energy experts, so they are expected to have a good understanding of the concepts and fundamentals for the building systems highlighted below.

  • Experience in preparing and maintaining baseline information on key energy parameters (i.e. Compressed Air, Lighting, Building Envelope, HVAC (Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers)) in relation to applicable significant energy consuming activities within the plant/facility
  • Experience in performing detailed analyses of the site energy usages or plant processes to identify opportunities for more efficient operation
  • Experience in conducting periodic Energy Audits to determine Energy Cost Savings Opportunities and report progress as required (i.e. compressed air leak surveys, steam traps assessments, turn-it-off programs, setpoints and schedules, operating procedures, etc.)

Fundamental understanding, at the system and component level, of the typical building systems found in large manufacturing facilities:

  • Compressed Air Systems
  • Steam Boilers
  • Hot Water Boilers
  • Furnaces
  • Water cooled chillers
  • Air cooled chillers
  • Cooling Towers
  • etc.

ENERGY MANAGER, experienced in energy audits and energy conservation for industrial and manufacturing facilities.

The individual should have the following qualifications and background:

o Must have Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or degree in Engineering Technologies or Facility Engineering

o Possess analytical skills to assess problems and situations, develop recommendations, and implement solutions, including economic justifications.

o Must possess interpersonal skills to facilitate effective interactions with team member's internal and external customers and vendors/suppliers/contractors.

o Must have Three (3) Years of experience in conducting energy and/or power studies, managing projects, and/or directing and inspecting the work implementation teams.

o Must possess strong verbal & written communication skills to present ideas, findings, and recommendations in a logical, clear manner and negotiate and persuade effectively.

o Must be a self-leader and work without constant direction.
