Skilled Nursing Facilities (3) is Hiring a Culinary Services Supervisor Near Las Vegas, NV

Sandstone Spring Valley is currently recruiting for a Culinary Services Supervisor to work under the direction of the Director of Culinary Services. The Culinary Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the overall kitchen operations, ensuring that the kitchen follows sanitary procedures while doing their high-quality and maximum productivity tasks. The Culinary Services Supervisor will assist with managing inventory, checking the adequacy of food supplies and kitchen equipment, oversee tray line process, ensure portion control, train new hires, and coach/develop the Culinary Department team members. 

The Schedule:

  • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday = 12:30pm - 9:30pm

The Job:

  • Implement control on quality along with consistency of every item served. 
  • Develop and adapt work schedule as per prevailing work pressure and occupancy. 
  • Involved in ordering and receiving kitchen supplies.
  • Implement departmental line-ups regularly. 
  • Contol, maintain, and manage kitchen inventory and food supplies. 
  • Ensure all ingredients for preparing food are in right supply.
  • Support and facility control on food cost. 
  • Convey any maintenance concerns or food safety concerns to the Director of Culinary Services. 
  • Oversee the preparation of on-time meal service. 
  • May be asked to cover call-offs.
  • Develop and maintain professional relations with vendors. 
  • Gather data, compile, review, and submit essential reports. 
  • Supervision of other Culinary department team members. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. 
  • Ability to successfully pass NABS Fingerprint Background Check.
  • Fully Vaccinated for COVID (medical and religious exemptions evaluated on a case by case basis).
  • Ability to pass a drug screen.
  • ServSafe Certification.
  • Tray-Line Experience. 
  • At least 1 year experience in healthcare kitchen setting.
  • At least 2 years experience in guest relations/ customer service. 
  • At least 5 years experience in a kitchen. 
  • High School Diploma / GED Equivalent. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ServSafe Manager Credential.
  • Southern Nevada Health District Food Manager's Card.

Classification:

This is an hourly role, with no direct reports.
