Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Crushing Foreman with a strong background in operating excavators and payloaders to lead our crushing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the crushing plant, ensuring safety, efficiency, and productivity. This role requires hands-on leadership, excellent operational skills, and a deep understanding of aggregate processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operations Management:

    • Supervise and coordinate all activities related to the crushing plant, including the operation of excavators, payloaders, and other heavy machinery.
    • Ensure that the crushing process is carried out efficiently and safely, maintaining high standards of quality and production.
    • Monitor and control material flow to and from the crusher to maximize production efficiency.
    • Manage and oversee plant maintenance schedules, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and operational.
  • Equipment Operation:

    • Operate and oversee the use of excavators and payloaders to load, transport, and feed material into the crushing plant.
    • Train and supervise crew members on the safe and efficient operation of heavy equipment.
    • Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify and resolve issues before they affect production.
  • Safety and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all crew members.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations.
    • Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure that all team members adhere to safety standards.
  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead, train, and motivate a team of operators, laborers, and other plant personnel.
    • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure that production targets are met.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and communication.
  • Quality Control:

    • Monitor the quality of the output, ensuring that it meets the required specifications and standards.
    • Work closely with quality control personnel to identify and address any issues with product quality.
  • Reporting and Documentation:

    • Maintain accurate records of production, equipment usage, and maintenance activities.
    • Prepare and submit daily reports on production metrics, equipment performance, and any incidents or issues.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role within a crushing or aggregate production environment.
    • Proven experience operating excavators, payloaders, and other heavy machinery in a crushing operation.
    • Strong understanding of crushing plant operations, maintenance, and safety protocols.
  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in the operation of heavy equipment, including excavators and payloaders.
    • Familiarity with crushing plant control systems and production processes.
    • Basic mechanical skills for troubleshooting and minor repairs of equipment.
  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Additional certifications in heavy equipment operation or a related field are a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to work.
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
