Compensation: $18.20-$18.20/hr

Skookum is seeking a knowledgeable and professional Quality Support Specialist with a positive attitude.
Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist the QC/Safety Manager with reports and ensure that all employees adhere to the safety standards as set forth in Skookum policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Assists in training the employees on classification of equipment in their respective areas of responsibility.
• Coordinates with Fort Cavazos Recycle for removal of all recyclable items and materials.
• Liaison between DOL Maintenance and Department of Public Works on facility and equipment work orders.
• Verifies that OCIE being processed through DRMO is properly counted, labeled and ready for shipment.
• Perform and submit daily, weekly, and monthly Quality Control inspections.
• Inspect clothing record for accuracy.
• Responsible for the issuance and removal of HAZMAT products.
• Implements and enforces physical security, fire, and safety plans.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of warehouse or retail operations experience is required; HAZMAT certification is preferred.
• A working knowledge of Army Supply Regulations & Central Issuing Facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with OCIE guidelines is a bonus.

Physical Requirements:
Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance. The physical demands of this position may be reasonably accommodated for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions on a case-by-case basis.

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• May be required to reach, kneel, walk, stand, and use repetitive motion for several hours at a time based on position duties.
• Work may require repetitive motion, reaching, lifting, kneeling, and walking. Standing or sitting for several hours at a time, climbing in and out of a vehicle, and up and down stairs may also be required.
• Must have the perseverance to work effectively under pressure for extended periods of time.

Requirements:

• A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position
