Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an in-office position, perfect for candidates who appreciate a contemporary, well-equipped workplace that fosters a productive and collaborative atmosphere. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports, reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and performing other tasks necessary to ensure the accuracy of financial documents. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to apply them in practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and conduct regular ledger maintenance.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and resolve discrepancies.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable duties.
• Manage credit card expenses by tracking and inputting them into the accounting system.
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Prepare tax documents and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Regularly review aging reports to monitor outstanding customer balances.
• Proactively send payment reminders to customers and engage in follow-up communications to ensure timely receipt of payments.
• Oversee the recording, tracking, and management of capital assets, ensuring accurate depreciation rates and methods are applied.
• Support month-end and year-end closures.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasts.
• Engage in special projects and initiatives as directed by management. Provide analytical support and contribute to cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and improve processes within the finance department.
• Collaborate with various teams across the company to align financial practices with the company's overall objectives and goals.
• Protect the organization’s values by keeping information confidential.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
• At least three years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures.
• Experience with accounting software (ERP experience preferred).
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong time management.
• Ownership and pride in work product.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
