SkyBridge Aviation is Hiring an Avionics Technician Near , CO

LOCATION

Englewood, CO *NOTE: no relocation is provided*

TYPE

Contract-to-Hire: 6 Months

OVERVIEW

The Avionics Technician will be responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of avionics systems in corporate aircraft. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with avionics systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot avionics systems, including communication, navigation, and autopilot systems.
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on avionics systems.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic issues in aircraft.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, company standards, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Stay current with industry developments and advancements in avionics technology.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 years of experience as an Avionics Technician, with specific experience on corporate aircraft.
  • Proficiency in the installation and troubleshooting of avionics systems.
  • Strong knowledge of FAA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
  • Must have own hand tools to complete any maintenance function.
  • Understanding of all aircraft manufacturers Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Structural Repair Manuals, Service Bulletins is a must.
  • Excellent written and vocal skills, ability to communicate well.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance manuals is a plus.
  • No limitations on confined space entry and ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Will be subject to drug and alcohol testing.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

PAY

  • $34-43 hourly
  • Split per diem to those that qualify while on contract
  • OT time and a half
  • Paid weekly after first week.
  • OT as needed

SCHEDULE

  • Tuesday-Friday
  • 7am-5:30pm

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
