We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 3 years experience. The position will involve the design and production of structural systems in commercial, mixed-use, healthcare, water & wastewater treatment, residential and specialty facilities.

Job Type

• Full-Time Position in Brentwood, TN office 
• Monday through Friday work schedule

Responsibilities and Duties

Candidates will be required daily to perform the following job responsibilities and duties:

• Perform structural analysis using finite element programs (STAAD and/or RAM Structural System)
• Perform structural design for various structural systems
• Drafting or modeling using Revit Structure
• Review sub-contractor shop drawings for compliance with issued Construction Documents
• Jobsite visits – Site Observation Reports

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must at a minimum have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in structural engineering and have passed the NCEES FE Exam. Candidates should have 3 years of structural design experience and possess a proactive willingness to learn, advance, grow and when time comes obtain PE registration.

Master’s degree with emphasis in structural engineering is preferred.

Candidates must have a strong working knowledge in the following:

• Engineering mechanics, structural analysis, design of building structural systems, and interpreting building codes.
• Microsoft software such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Experience with Revit and/or ACAD is a plus
• Candidates must possess the ability to communicate directly with owners, architects, contractors, other design professionals and building officials.
