Job Summary

The Dispatch Assistant Leader will support the Dispatch Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the dispatch team. This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who can ensure efficient scheduling, effective communication, and high levels of service delivery. The Dispatch Assistant Leader will play a crucial role in maintaining operational excellence and supporting our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Dispatch Manager in managing the evening operations 5pm-1am of the dispatch team in a 24/7 environment. Ensure flawless, on-time performance for airline crews, utilizing a fleet of over 450 vehicles.
• Coordinate and manage the scheduling of drivers to ensure optimal coverage and efficiency.
• Monitor and respond to real-time operational issues, providing solutions and support to drivers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and driver performance.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist in training and developing dispatch staff, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support the implementation of new technologies and processes to enhance operational efficiency.
• Address and resolve any client or driver issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide regular reports and updates to the Dispatch Manager and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in dispatching or call center- transportation, or a related field a plus
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and dispatch software.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations is preferred.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
