Currently, we are on the lookout for a seasoned Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team and play a crucial role in our continuous journey towards excellence.

The Journey with Skyler

· Immediate: Immerse yourself in Skyler’s diverse project portfolio, getting hands-on with our unique approach to construction across various sectors including commercial, government, higher education, healthcare, and industrial.

· 1 Month: Develop strong relationships with our project management teams, contractors, and labor force, ensuring everyone is aligned with Skyler’s high standards of quality and safety.

· 3 Months: Showcase your expertise in scheduling, project coordination, and resource allocation, optimizing the workflow and ensuring all projects are on track.

· 6 Months: Establish yourself as a key problem-solver, identifying potential issues before they arise and implementing timely solutions to keep projects moving forward smoothly.

· 1 Year: Demonstrate your leadership and management skills, driving your teams to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

· Beyond: Continue to play a critical role in Skyler’s success, contributing to our legacy of excellence in construction and helping to mentor the next generation of construction professionals. Maintain the pride of zero punch turnovers.

Your Role

As a Construction Superintendent at Skyler, you will be the linchpin of our on-site operations, ensuring that our projects are executed with precision and excellence. Reporting to senior management, your responsibilities will include:

· Overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.

· Ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, conducting regular site meetings, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

· Coordinating tasks across various trades and crafts to maintain a harmonious and efficient job site.

· Managing and updating construction documents, and ensuring all work complies with project specifications and quality standards.

· Responding swiftly to any unforeseen challenges or delays, showcasing your resilience and problem-solving skills.

· Demonstrating expertise in both interior and exterior architectural finishes as self-performed trades.

· Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of construction processes and software systems to drive efficiency and quality.

· Adaptability: Be ready to wear multiple hats and adapt to the dynamic nature of construction projects.

· Collaboration: Work seamlessly with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors, fostering a cooperative environment that leads to successful project delivery.

Experience/Skills

· A strong track record of successful on-site management in construction, particularly in federal government, higher education, healthcare, and/or industrial sectors.

· Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, CMiC, BIM360, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, and relevant industry tools.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills.

· Proven ability to manage stress and deliver results under tight deadlines.

Qualifications 

· Minimum 5 years in construction, notably as a general contractor in federal government, higher education, healthcare, and/or industrial construction.

· High school diploma required; four-year degree in Construction Science/Management, Engineering or related field preferred.

· Reads and understands contract documents (plans, specifications & addenda).

· Strong understanding of local, multi-state, and federal construction regulations and code.

· Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 100% nationwide.
