Job Description

Delivery Management

Facilitate Agile Ceremonies:

Oversee and facilitate Scrum rituals including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

Ensure team ceremonies occur (planning, review, retrospective, etc.).

Maintain and manage data/boards in Jira/Jira Align.

Support Delivery Process:

Promote tools used for Agile practices and ensure defined usage standards.

Optimize team productivity by removing impediments and ensuring flexibility.

Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress.

Risk and Dependency Management:

Identify and resolve impediments using formal channels.

Manage dependencies starting from acceptance by the dependent team through completion.

Coaching and Mentoring

Agile Best Practices:

Educate team (both tech and product) in Agile best practices.

Coach Product Owner on backlog refinement and prioritization.

Utilize team feedback and metrics to identify areas of improvement.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive a culture of continuous improvement using retrospective processes.

Partner in organizational change management and process adoption initiatives.

Foster innovation through experimentation with practices and frameworks.

Mentoring:

Act as an Agile mentor/coach to other Scrum Masters or Agile roles.

Lead training sessions to support the learning and coaching of teams.

Communication and Transparency

Stakeholder Communication:

Provide transparency into team s work and communicate with multiple levels in the organization.

Proactively communicate status, risks, dependencies, and impediments.

Ensure cross-team communication and manage dependencies with stakeholders.

Reporting:

Develop actionable reporting to communicate useful and valuable information.

Track against delivery milestones and communicate risks or dependencies.

Team Dynamics and Culture Team Norms:

Document and review team norms quarterly (includes definition of ready, definition of done, and JIRA norms).

Ensure retrospectives are used as a mechanism for continuous improvement.

Conflict Resolution:

Address team dynamics and conflict resolution.

Ensure good relationships between teams, product owners, and other stakeholders.

Psychological Safety:

Maintain a safe environment for the team.

Protect the team from external influences and internal negativity.
