We are currently hiring for Workday Finance Expert - Support Side. This is a hybrid position. We have an active need for a Workday Finance Expert. The resource will be more involved with the support side of this Workday Finance implementation and not actually hands on with the implementation (project work) being performed. Ideally, they are looking for someone that could work hybrid in Des Moines, IA. We could consider someone outside the area willing to come onsite for a week at a time every six weeks to put faces with names on the project. Strong communication skills. Job Description
Our client has multiple, strategic projects in progress to modernize their processes and technology to continue to grow the business. This includes a full Workday implementation for Finance and HR modules. They have a portion of their business in production for the full Workday suite of Finance and HR. They are looking to grow their support team to focus on production support.
This role will focus on Production Support (not projects) specific to the Finance side of Workday. Workday SKU s in production:
Asset Mgmt
Banking & Settlements
Customer Accounts & Contracts
Expenses
FDM/Financial Accounting
Integrations (Finance & HR both)
Projects, Project Billing (Customer and Supplier Invoicing)
Suppliers
Workday SKU s Out of Scope (FY 2024/~2025)
Spend Management (potential future phase)
Inventory Management
Procurement Processes
Canada Payroll and Time (future phase)
Learning Management System
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Elicitation of requirements and documenting use cases from multiple stakeholders for the purpose of resolving Workday Finance related service request tickets.
Ability to differentiate between an existing system issue vs. a new change the business is requesting.
Engage in business process mapping and collaborate with Finance & the enterprise (if needed) to document future state processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Perform analysis to determine change impacts on production system.
Size and estimate service ticket requests.
Elicitation of requirements and documentation of use cases.
Coordinate activities between cross-functional teams, internal & external stakeholders, and vendors for the purpose of resolving production support issues.
EXPERIENCE
5 years of hands-on experience as a Workday Financials Analyst supporting a full suite of Workday Finance SKU s.
2 Years of hands-on experience supporting complex Workday integrations.
2 Years of hands-on experience supporting complex Workday security.
Ability to hit the ground running.
Ability to work in fast paced environment.
Experience working on diverse, cross-functional teams leading the elicitation of business requirements and needs, analyzing information skillfully, and developing solutions, and making recommendations to solve complex business problems.
Excellent communication skills, including group presentation and facilitation.
Ability to employ active listening and be clear and positive during consensus building.
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask effectively.
Ability to troubleshoot highly complex problems within the Finance Workday environment.
Expert with Office 365 tooling, MS Teams, Visio.
Smartsheet experience is a bonus.
Change Management (mindsets & behaviors) experience and understanding.
