Pet-Ag, Inc. , an innovative pioneer in the pet product industry, is hiring a Compound Operator Lead to join its team in Hampshire, IL.
Pet-Ag, Inc. , provides pet owners and animal professionals with the most effective pet products, including milk replacers, nutritional and health supplements, and grooming supplies.
As a Compound Operator Lead , you will assist the Production Supervisor in the day-to-day activities of compounding operations. Additionally, coordination with quality specialists, warehouse personnel, and the training of compound operators regarding the production process is also required of this position.
The Compound Operator Lead role is a senior-level manufacturing position that must adhere to quality standards and maintain cGMP training and training to applicable standard operating procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
•Operate plant utilities start-up/shutdown as needed
•Perform periodic quality checks on manufacturing personnel during the manufacturing process to inspect accuracy and efficiency
•Verify all raw materials are released and staged
•Measure and mix raw materials into finished product according to batch card instructions and SOPs
•Record all lot numbers and expiration dates, and sign off steps on batch cards and review batch records for errors
•Performs basic maintenance on equipment as needed

Qualifications:
•High school diploma OR GED
•2 yrs of manufacturing-related experience required
•1 year of experience leading teams strongly preferred
•Ability to lead a team, create reports, accurately handle inventory
•Bilingual in the English and Spanish language is a plus
•Ability to operate forklifts, skyjacks, and pass required refresher training
•Must be able to regularly lift 50-60 lb bags of raw material, occasionally
•Valid driver's license required
