Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all month-end close activities, including timely preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and regulatory reporting, including GAAP and statutory financial reporting.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead the annual audit process and ensure timely completion of audit requests.
- Manage and develop the accounting team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help team members grow and achieve their goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and other service providers.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address accounting-related issues or opportunities to standardize and streamline processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and provide insight into financial performance.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the finance and accounting function.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with leadership experience. Public accounting experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
