SkyWater Search Partners is Hiring a Plant Manager Near Itasca, IL

The Plant Manager will coordinate and supervise the daily functions of two facilities. You’ll strive to ensure that our organization runs smoothly and efficiently by overseeing processes and mentoring staff. The perfect candidate must be adept at planning a range of operational tasks. Furthermore, the Plant Manager must be an outstanding leader who can identify the most effective methods to conduct operations and inspire the team. The aim of this role is to protect and enhance the company’s operational efficiency to promote rapid growth and sustained success

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire plant and its workforce to ensure all company objectives and production targets are consistently achieved.
  • Facilitate collaboration between two sites located within a quarter-mile of each other.
  • Evaluate operations, equipment, and personnel to drive continuous improvements in Safety, Quality, Operations, and Financial key performance indicators.
  • Lead and advocate for the LEAN initiative, promoting it throughout the organization.
  • Provide improvement recommendations and effectively implement necessary changes.
  • Ensure a robust machine and facility maintenance program is in place and strictly followed.
  • Partner closely with the Quality Manager/Quality Department to ensure operations and maintenance comply with the QMS and regulatory standards for food-grade packaging.
  • Collaborate with Quality Managers to set consistent guidelines and schedules for inspecting and testing finished goods, WIP, and production materials.

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in management, engineering, or operations is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 7 years of operations and production management experience, preferably at the plant leadership level
  • Outstanding leadership and mentorship experience
  • Previous experience with Value Stream Mapping, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen Events
  • Proven track record of being able to hit target metrics and KPIs set by the company
