Slide is Hiring a Vendor Manager Near Tampa, FL

What you will be doing:
  • Analyze data, create reports, and develop performance metrics for all active vendors.
  • Report on vendor performance to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for operational improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Publish, maintain, and distribute list of preferred vendors for claims department.
  • Collaborate on Service Level Agreement per Category
  • Distribute, monitor, report on each vendors Service Level Agreement compliance monthly.
  • Maintain contact log for each vendor.
  • Identify any potential relationship issues between vendor and Slide.
  • Understand vendor's needs as a true partner.
  • Manage any vendor billing disputes.
  • Collaborate to build the credentialing needs by category.
  • Recognize and problem solve any possible process issues.
  • Research leading vendors by coverage to meet Slides current and future needs.
  • Respond to vendor related questions from claims department.
  • Collaborate with claim department to identify new categories of vendor need.
  • Develop ranking system to track performance of vendors compared to each other and minimum standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Work with vendors to identify training opportunities.
  • Create and maintain a log of CE courses offered by each vendor.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.
What you have:
Education, Experience, and Licensing:
  • Bachelor's degree or High School diploma and relevant work experience required.
  • 2-4 years' experience in vendor management required.
  • 2 years' experience within the Property and Casualty/Homeowners Insurance industry required.
  • Industry designations or certifications a plus.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in contract management and vendor relationship management software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact on a professional level.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively communicating with multiple teams.
  • Ability to focus on a specific task or multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.
  • Proven ability to be adaptable and flexible; adjusting to new requirements or unforeseen issues.
  • Ability to collaborate with internal departments to provide the best resolution.
  • Proficient in MSO/365 applications such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
