Position: EHS Staff ProfessionalDuration: 6 month initial duration with possibility to extendLocation: Lake Forest, IL (Onsite)Looking for 3-5 yrs experience in product safety, EHS, environmental sustainability, safety data sheets, etc Preferred subspecialty in occupational hygiene is a plus. Would like to find someone more on the EHS side rather than nursing.Skills And DutiesAn EHS professional who applies established EHS principles, practices, regulations and internal standards, interacts with customers and is solutions-minded in completing EHS assignments.
Education: A Technical or Bachelor’s Degree ~ In EHS, Occupational Health, Engineering, Science, Nursing or closely related discipline is desired. an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Additional post-graduate education may contribute towards the desired years of experience.

- Investigates and performs analysis.
- Reports findings.
- Prepares and communicates recommendations and action plans.
- Interprets problems/recommends solutions.
- Analyzes patterns/trends, interprets data and makes recommendations.
- Make suggestions to improve methods/designs/processes.
- Recognizes and implements good ideas/innovations. consistently generates/adopts original solutions to problems and reduces them to practices.
- Establishes contacts with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and other professionals.
- Prepares written communication.
- Conveys information effectively through formal and informal documents and meetings with team members, both internal and external to Client, using appropriate communication protocols, e.g. develops proposals. conducts reviews. provides audience targeted content. prepares project summaries.
- Obtains approval to proceed with proposed action plans.
- Contributes willingly and incorporates the ideas of others. shares resources, knowledge, and accountability to benefit the objectives of the business, understands own limitations.
- Establish and build relationships, good communication and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- Initiates and cultivates open, professional relationships with stakeholders by establishing rapport, developing an understanding of others’ needs, promoting common goals, and following through on commitments.
- Supports compliance with all applicable regulations and internal standards.
- Assists in the identification of potential EHS risks and consequences of new and modified processes/systems/regulations and takes appropriate action.
- Stays current on changing technical requirements, regulations and internal/external standards.
- Generates and communicates EHS performance data.
- Responsible for achieving or contributing towards EHS targets.
- Develops and maintains procedures and standards.
- Coordinates with technical support personnel to conduct EHS assessments.
- Directs the efforts of others such as technicians and outside resources.
- Performs tasks such as assisting in the completion of Requests for Capital Expenditures (RCEs), EHS checklists, project scope documents, risk assessments, etc.
- Assists in the resolution of EHS problems.
- Provides training.
