Job Summary/Purpose:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide safe, age-appropriate, direct, and indirect patient care. This role operates within the scope of practice defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.

Department Description:

The Medical Surgical unit specializes in caring for acutely ill adults and patients requiring both emergent and elective surgeries. Our team of registered nurses and nurse assistants deliver the highest standards of professional care. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

Experience/Education/Qualifications:

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required.
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required.
• Successful completion of SHS ECG Monitoring class or an equivalent course approved by management within six (6) months of hire.
• Orthopedic and bariatric experience preferred.
