POSITION SUMMARY: We are currently looking for an energetic and enthusiastic staff accountant who is an authentic team player, motivated self-starter, with a strong desire for learning and efficiency. The successful candidate will also have good organizational, communication, Excel and computer skills. This position works closely with other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform weekly bank and credit cards reconciliations.
- Prepare accruals, post journals, and reconcile G/L balances to supporting documentations and schedules.
- Responsible for prepaids listing and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare and file property and use taxes and permits renewals.
- Responsible for coding, and reconciling employee credit card expenses.
- Assist with customer payment applications for bank reconciliation.
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Assist with reconciliation of material handling equipment assets.
- Assist with fix assets listing, depreciation schedule, posting and reporting.
- Assist with lease accounting posting and review.
- Assist with monthly financial statement reconciliation and review.
- Assist with gathering and providing supporting documentation for all audits.
- Work closely with controller on month and year-end closing.
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Perform other accounting functions as needed.
“THE PERSON” | MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1 or more years of experience in accounting, finance, payroll or similar work setting or internship.
- NetSuite experience a plus, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with a customer service focus.
- Strong teamwork orientation: willingness to help larger team meet goals and responsibilities.
