SmartTalent is Hiring a Steel Sales Executive Near Arlington, WA

SmartTalent is seeking a highly motivated Individual with a passion for sales and excellent communication skills to transition into an Outside Sales Representative role. In this position, you will be responsible for promoting our galvanizing products and services, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth within a designated territory. This role requires a deep understanding of welding and fabrication processes, along with the ability to effectively convey technical information to potential clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Knowledge:

• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the company's galvanizing products, services, and capabilities.

• Stay updated on industry trends, innovations, and competitive offerings. 

Sales and Business Development:

• Identify potential clients and target markets within the assigned territory.

• Actively prospect and generate new leads through networking, cold calls, and other sales strategies.

• Develop and execute sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.

• Present product and service offerings to clients and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure sales agreements.

• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and demonstrations.

• Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement effective sales strategies.

Relationship Building:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing and potential clients.

• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical expertise and support.

• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure client satisfaction and address any concerns or issues.

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities and trends.

• Analyze competitor activities and market conditions to make informed business decisions.

Reporting and Documentation:

• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including customer interactions, sales leads, and opportunities.

• Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market trends.

• Experience with Salesforce is preffered

Travel and Territory Management:

• Travel within the assigned territory to meet with clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events.

• Territory is Washington State, Alaska, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, and Alberta.

• Manage territory effectively, prioritizing client visits and sales activities.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of steel industry background to be considered

• Background in welding and fabrication processes.

• Proven experience as an adept problem solver. From time to time, this role will need to address customer issues as they arise.

• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and communicate the value of products and services to clients.

• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.

• Adept at building and maintaining client relationships.

• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

Work Environment:

• Work is typically performed sitting and driving; however, incumbent will be required to go into the production or shipping/receiving areas daily visiting customers.

Work Hours:

• Shift: Hours will vary based on business needs

• Requirements: 4 days out in the field, 1 day in the office

• Job Type: Full-time

• Travel Requirements: Up to 75%
