Position Overview
  • An integral part of our FP&A team, the FP&A Analyst, will provide support to our FP&A Team and the broader SMCP North America organization, with particular focus on Retail KPIs, monthly close, and cost reporting.
Organizational Structure - Reporting Relationships
  • Direct Supervisor: Director of FP&A, SMCP North America
  • Executive Head: VP of Finance, SMCP North America
What You’ll Be DoingJob responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Sales Reporting:
    • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly sales flash reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the Retail teams.
    • Analyze sales data, conversion targets, and provide actionable insights to optimize our network and commercial initiatives.
    • Support continuous reforecast and field initiatives through timely analysis of Retail sales variances and performance targets (commercial targets), in partnership with the Retail teams.
  • Corporate Reporting:
    • Assist in the monthly / quarterly generation of cost center reports for the various divisions.
    • Investigate cost overruns/savings through variance analysis against forecasts.
  • Monthly Closing and Review:
    • Contribute to the monthly closing review under the guidance of the Director of FP&A.
    • Ensure timely data retrieval from the General Ledger and Oracle accounting system to maintain up-to-date cost center reports and FP&A analysis throughout the monthly close process.
    • Suggest process enhancements for the closing process while collaborating closely with the accounting department, particularly during accruals reviews.
  • Ad Hoc Analysis and Data Governance:
    • Provide support for ad hoc analyses as needed by Group or Regional management.
    • Assist in maintaining master data governance and handle system-related requests in our reporting tool (PBCS)
    • Other tasks as assigned by the Director of FP&A
Who You AreSkills and Qualifications Needed:
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Finance or Accounting.
  • Evidence of genuine enthusiasm for the fashion/retail sector (e.g., through past internships or similar experiences).
  • Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and meet overlapping deadlines.
  • Appetite for data-driven insights, with emphasis on precision and meticulousness.
  • A proactive, self-initiating, and inquisitive approach.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with retail reporting systems and financial / consolidation systems, with a preference for candidates who have prior experience with PBCS or Oracle.
