Weideman Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics
Position: Temp Orthodontic Assistant (OA)/ Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)
Location:  Citrus Heights, CA
Schedule: Part-time (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, 1st Friday of month- ortho days) or full-time starting this summer *potential to convert from temp to regular*
Hours of Operation : Mondays-Thursdays 8a.m. - 5p.m. and Fridays 7:30a.m. - 3:30p.m.

The ideal candidate will LOVE working with people and have the following qualifications: 
 

• Great customer service skills and a passion for working with kids
• Minimum 1 year as an RDA or OA in orthodontic practice
• Must possess and RDA or OA
• Fun, positive, and caring attitude
• Team-oriented
• Must be available for full-time 5 days per week (Mon- Fri), or part-time 3 days per week on ortho days (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, and 1st Friday of month)
• Responsible, respectful, and self-motivated

Job duties include:

• Allowable RDA and OA duties as set forth by the Dental Board of California
• Assisting the dentist/orthodontist during examinations and treatment
• Supporting day-to-day operations by delivering quality work and excellent patient care
• Recording treatment information in patient records and all pertinent medical and dental history 
• Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and tray setups for dental procedures
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment
• Greeting patients by name and preparing them for treatment with a friendly, service-centered disposition
• Utilizing pano, cephs, iTero, and other approved photography tools

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, leaning and bending
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• Dexterity of arms, hands, and fingers to handle dental tools
• Specific vision abilities include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Must be physically able to administer CPR

Pay range is $25 - $30 depending on experience and credentials
