We are looking for a Trainer to join our team to implement training programs for our Emerging Insurance Professional Program and create long-term career plans within our agency. You will build collaborative relationships with leaders across the organization and work in conjunction with learning and development, operations, and our governance team. Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Implement and monitor specific training programs related to multi-disciplined insurance coverages, products, and system processes (commercial, personal, employee benefits, etc.)
  • Evaluate the needs of the Emerging Insurance Professionals training programs and plan accordingly
  • Provide input and continuously improve training opportunities
  • Create training materials and develop multimedia visual aids and presentations
  • Create testing and evaluation processes
  • Provide classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops, including use of outside education and training resources (carriers, etc.)
  • Responsible to thoroughly track training progression, comprehension, and overall development of team members within EIPP
  • Monitor and distribute work to team members in EIPP
  • Mentor team members in EIPP
  • Provide feedback of team members in EIPP on their development and performance to Agency Resource Manager
  • Build relationships with carrier learning partners to make recommendations and provide feedback about carrier training and development programs
  • Assist in implementing and updating system processes and procedures in order to ensure excellent delivery of service to clients
  • May participate in the interviewing and selection of candidates for the insurance training program
  • Support Agency Resource Manager on work as assigned
  • Assists management in planning of Emerging Insurance Professional Program objectives
  • Work on projects and other work as assigned
  • Participate in internal learning and development sessions
  • Maintain confidentiality of client and company information and adhere to all personal and financial data privacy protocols
  • Follow department and company defined processes, procedures, and workflows, within specified timelines, to drive consistency and efficiency, with a focus on client experience
  • Support and demonstrate the core values of our agency: trust, respect, creativity, and fun ? Support and live our Be Sure Service Standards, Helping Others Culture, and Quality Program

  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial insurance service and products with the ability to teach, develop, and mentor multiple team members simultaneously to successfully move through the training curriculum
  • Ability to supervise team members and work collaboratively with managers across the company
  • Ability to make independent decisions, research/analyze problems, and develop solutions to provide outstanding client experience and support our team goals
  • Effective listening and communication skills to uncover client needs, candidate needs, and work towards win/win
  • Excellent consultative, presentation, facilitation, influencing, and communication skills
  • Comfortable and effective communicating with stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and utilize agency management system
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with team to build trust and enhance team productivity and performance
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time and competing priorities to reach objectives and meet deadlines
  • Desire and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and growing organization
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated resilience and grit to overcome hurdles
Qualifications
  • 3 plus years of experience in related commercial lines broker client facing service and knowledge of employee benefits and personal lines preferred
  • Property & Casualty agents/broker license required
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office and agency management systems
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Previous experience working in a team environment and establishing positive working relationships
  • Commitment to continuous process improvement and team development
  • High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred
