We have a fabulous new opportunity for an Account Manager with substantial sales, projects, and account management experience working with CPG clients in a Brand Design environment. Smith Design is a WBENC full–service Brand Design Agency based in NJ with over 40 years of experience in creating breakthrough visual solutions for brands to win in the marketplace. In addition to strategic brand design (visual branding, packaging, graphics, and structural concepts) we also extend visual and verbal strategy to various digital and physical touchpoints including social content development, web sites, in-store POS, activation, corporate identities, style guides, and environments. We also have an in-house photography/videography studio, professional kitchen, and research facility to offer our clients a true full-service branding experience.

The Account Manager position will act as the face of Smith Design, managing existing clients and new clients driving profitable growth. Lead with passion and honesty and think creatively. The Account Managers partners with creative and strategy teams to ensure the projects and clients are being managed with the right brand consultation and perspective. Consistently exceed clients expectations, delivering as promised and more bringing their brand to life. Strive to understand our customers business and provide the highest standards of excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to deliver design projects and fantastic work on time and budget.
  2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with seasoned presentation skills.
  3. Strong industry knowledge and in-depth understanding of strategic branding & package design.
  4. Proven ability to manage client engagements under high stress, fast paced, deadline driven environment to a successful completion.
  5. Organized with a keen eye for detail.
  6. Serve as the direct contact liaison between the client and creative, strategic and production teams.
  7. Drives and influences the project process from initial briefing through implementation.
  8. Guides/advises team in all aspects of project development.
  9. Acting as the client’s main point of contact.
  10. Ensures alignment with creative brief, account strategy, and understanding of client issues.
  11. Coordinates internal review meetings and client meetings and conference calls as appropriate.
  12. Determines when work is ready for client presentation with senior creative and strategy teams.
  13. Ensure smooth transition of the creative/strategic process to the production process.
  14. Utilize Salesforce to track all pertinent account information and sales progress as well as forecast and prioritize to achieve quota goals.
  15. Develop strong relationship with key members of the clients marketing and implementation teams.

Job Specifications:

  • Minimum 3 year’s quota carrying, brand design sales experience
  • Experience with Sales Force, Apple Suite Products, and Project Management tool a plus
  • Background on leading CPG brands (packaging experience a must)
  • Can work independently
  • A great attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
  • Stable, reliable, hardworking, flexible
  • Attention to detail, high work standards
  • Self- motivator, proactive thinker, analytic and strategic thinker
  • Prioritizes and plans realistic timelines and action plans
