Job Overview:

We are seeking an Injection Mold Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining injection molding machines to produce precision plastic components. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

- Understands Plastics:

Understand plastic types.

Understand the difference between amorphous and crystalline.

Understanding of purging compounds.

Understand molding variables.

Melt and dryer temperatures.

Material data sheets (MSDS).

Understand material contamination and preventative measures.

-Area Of Responsibilities:

Conduct plant startup and shutdown.

Ensure process is stable and producing quality material.

Complete documentation as required-mold change checklist & process sheets.

Conduct mold changes IAW mold change checklist.

Setup robots and pickers -understanding the controllers.

Mold Processing and Conduct Troubleshooting (able to determine course of action).

Able to start up process without process sheets (from Scratch).

Able to shut down from production to include hopper cleaning and purging.

Have an in-depth Scientific Understanding of Plastic Processing.

Conduct mold PM's and change mold inserts as needed.

Setup work cells and start production.

Maintain process work sheets.

Organization and cleanliness of work area including production areas.

Conduct basic maintenance to support equipment-preventative maintenance

Conduct new mold trials and complete documentation

Eager to learn new skills in plastic molding.

Willing to clean, organize and put equipment and tools away.

Keep equipment and work areas organized

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:

- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
- Good basic math skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to meet or exceed the company's attendance and punctuality standards.
- Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given.

-Ability to work with minimal supervision.

-Operate a forklift safely.

-Conduct any other tasks as needed within scope of the Process technician responsibilities.

-Ability to climb ladder and step ladder

-Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing, walking, etc., as job may require
