CASHIER

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Cashier to provide excellent Customer Service to our guests at events. We are progressively expanding the reach of our smoked barbecue and smoothie business by adding multiple events and catering opportunities to our monthly calendar.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

KITCHEN EXPERIENCE A PLUS!

Responsible for greeting guests

Responsible for opening and closing workstation by counting and documenting cash drawer, setting up register and table décor and assist in organizing event space

Communicate order transactions to guests, operate TOAST system, return the appropriate amount of cash and charge credit cards appropriately

Protect the cash drawer

Assist with the setup of Event and Catering spaces by unloading the truck, setting up tables and tents and necessary equipment

Assist with stocking sauces, utensils and bags, removing and resetting dishes and silverware for Team and help keep serving stations cleaned

Kindly recommend and upsell food, smoothies and drinks

Write up the Menu and ensure it is properly placed throughout the event and catering spaces

Keep the food line organized by providing the appropriate ticket number to guests and kindly usher guests to appropriate area to receive their food

Carries out food and drinks to guests when food order is ready

Communicate with Team about output of Food, whether a certain item is running low or not, to create a sold out experience

Capturing moments of the Smitty Experience during events

Surprise our guests with excellent customer service

Ability to hold casual and professional conversation with guests

SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Ability to be organized and capable of multi-tasking with efficiency.
• Ability to work in a face paced environment.
• Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods of time in varied climate conditions.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50 lbs at times.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekend and holiday. Scheduled days and times may vary based on business needs.
• Ability to travel locally for outside catering functions as needed.

• 10 to 20 hours per week, availability during the evening and/or weekends required

Education:

• High School Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

• 1 Year Cashier Experience (Preferred)
• 1 Year Customer Service Experience (Preferred)
