Position Overview:
The primary focus of a Snapology Summer Camp Assistant Teacher will be to assist Snapology Lead Instructors and Management with Summer Camp & Summer Field Trip preparation and activities. Snapology Summer Camp Assistant Teacher are also asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills of students by supporting the Instructor in the classroom. Programs are conducted for children ages 3 - 14, although not all assistant instructors are required to work with all age groups. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology Instructors & leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.
Role & Responsibilities:

• Greet parents and children as they arrive for Snapology programs and/or pick up
• Sign children in and out for camp
• Organize and possibly transport Snapology program materials for camps and field trips
• Monitor children in the use of learning materials and equipment
• Aid in Management of student behavior by enforcing rules and procedures
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology
• Assist the Lead Teacher in promoting and developing creativity, teamwork, social skills among students
• Assist children with building activities
• Complete special assignments as indicated by Snapology leadership
• Handle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs
• Encourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs
• Participate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required

Qualifications:

• Criminal and Child Clearances must be current (or must be completed prior to start)
• Desire to work with children
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
• Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
• Proven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis

Programs:

• Summer camps & field trips (required)
• Weekday after-school and/or evening classes during the school year (preferred)
• Weekend workshops and/or birthday parties (preferred)
• Special events, holiday and break workshops (optional)

This position is part-time. Depending on candidate availability and the time of year, Snapology Summer Camp Assistant Teacher typically work between 10-35 hours per week.
Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
