Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst
This role involves supporting strategic planning and decision-making by analyzing financial data and generating detailed reports for senior leaders. Responsibilities include maintaining strategic models, evaluating financial performance, conducting profitability assessments, and advancing business intelligence capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Aid senior leaders by interpreting and transforming financial data.
- Create detailed financial and performance reports for senior executives.
- Develop and maintain strategic planning models to support business growth strategies.
- Analyze financial performance and trends to offer insights and recommendations.
- Perform profitability assessments for different business segments.
- Communicate findings and actionable recommendations to senior management.
- Evaluate strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Implement business intelligence tools, including data warehouse solutions.
- Lead the creation of PowerBI dashboards for financial insights.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure financial planning aligns with overall business objectives.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience is required, ideally in financial sectors such as banking, private equity, or specialty finance.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA is preferred.
- Understanding of US GAAP, including knowledge of financial reporting standards, accounting principles, and guidelines governing financial statements preparation and presentation.
- Skilled in financial modeling and analysis, including building strategic planning models.
- Experience evaluating strategic initiatives and providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and experience in data analysis and reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with working under pressure and adapting to changing conditions.
- High level of integrity and honesty.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
- Knowledge of PowerBI or similar business intelligence tools.
- Attention to detail with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
