Job Description Job SummaryThe Project Manager is to communicate with staff and clients, make decisions and monitor the progress of a project to keep it on schedule. They are also responsible for managing multiple projects of varying size and scope as required, and in accordance with all strategic initiatives and objectives to fulfill the mission and vision. Overall responsibility for assigning individual tasks/responsibilities related to a project, identify appropriate resources needed, develop project timelines, budget, interdepartmental communication, ensure stakeholders are aware of project status and any issues or risks. The Project Manager takes projects from original concept through final implementation-interfacing with all areas affected by the project including but not limited to end users, stakeholders and vendors and ensures adherence to quality standards. Responsibilities
Follow project methodology from initiation to delivery, adhering to Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies as well as IT PMO guidelines, as well as facilitate IT project governance and analysis.
Create and maintain comprehensive long and short-term project plans that communicate tasks, milestone dates, statuses, resource allocation and adhering to deadlines
Effective identification of all project stakeholders, project kickoff, define project roles and responsibilities.
Create and controls all project related documents, provide and maintain accurate and timely project information in all project plans, communications, status reporting.
Leads cross-functional project teams by task assignment and follows up to ensure on-time completion. Maintain comprehensive project documentation, e.g. budget tracking, project schedule, etc.
Works closely with sponsors, stakeholders, users, technical team leads, technical and non-technical resources and management to execute core project management functions end to end on strategic projects that range in scope, budget, team size, risk and complexity.
Conduct regular project reviews and be responsible for knowing and communicating a project's status accurately throughout the project lifecycle which may include presenting to business/technical steering committees. Point of Contact for multiple project teams.
Provide regular and timely feedback to team members and their respective managers, including the identification and resolution of issues that may negatively impact a project or project deliverables and seeks and implements innovative ways to identify, respond to and control project obstacles/risks.
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
