A Day in the Life of:

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational management of the Human Resources department. This includes leading and directing all the functions of the HR department, making sure it is aligned with SOAR365's objective of being an Employer of Choice and providing exceptional customer service to every stakeholder. Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Meets regularly with business unit managers to identify their needs and pain points.
  • Develops and executes the agency's strategic objectives as they relate to human resources.
  • Manages the established budget for the department and assists in its preparation.
  • Develops, maintains, and updates standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Human Resources Department as well as organizational HR policies.
  • Conducts investigations of employee complaints/concerns.
  • Ensures SOAR365's compliance with all Federal and State labor laws and HR adherence with the regulations of DBHDS, DMAS, DARS, AbilityOne, and CARF.
  • Ensures SOAR365's compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by serving as the subject matter expert to advise/direct the Benefits Manager to ensure technical compliance.
  • Steward for the benchmarking of benefit data and works with the Benefits Manager to develop a benefits strategic plan with the approval of the VP of HR.
  • Ensures SOAR365's compliance with the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and serves as the subject matter expert to advise/direct the Benefits Manager to ensure technical compliance.
  • Manages SOAR365's compensation system to ensure the pay scales/grades are competitive with the market. A comprehensive review of the compensations system shall be completed every two years.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, master's preferred, with a minimum of 5 years' experience at the HR Director level and not less than 10 years overall HR experience. National certification required (PHR, SPHR, GPHR, or equivalent).
  • Prior experience working for or with a federal contractor and health and human services experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws
  • Significant experience with employee benefits administration
  • Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new technology as may be required.
