Sobo Business Development Representative

Competitive base salary of $45,000-$55,000 - with an aggressive commission and bonus structure to earn an additional $25,000 annually plus monthly opportunities for performance-based rewards.

A Sobo Business Development Representative (BDR) identifies and qualifies potential leads, engaging in outbound activities like cold calling and social selling to build familiarity and generate qualified meetings.

Summary of job:

We are seeking a Business Development Representative that is passionate about being directly responsible for the expansion of our small to medium-sized (SMB) customer base. The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for identifying and creating new qualified meetings for the Business Strategy Specialist. This role manages the outbound campaigns by qualifying active buying interest and identifying critical decision makers to successfully position the Sobo's value proposition. BDR’s who establish high performance and are strong representations of the Sobo Core Values, will have great potential for new challenges and fast career advancement within sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make 90 outbound phone calls each day.
  • Execute creative outbound prospecting within your assigned accounts.
  • Conduct high level conversations with mid and senior level prospects, explaining the value proposition of Sobo & ability to sell the platform.
  • Leverage sales tools such as Apollo, HubSpot, LinkedIn, and Nooks to network with potential customers.
  • Achieve daily/weekly/monthly metrics (meetings, qualified leads, connections.)
  • Gain business knowledge through researching how different industries operate, leadership structures, and pain points and challenges our clients face each day.
  • Collaborate with Business Strategy Executive on qualified meetings.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a sales or customer-facing environment.
  • Demonstrable experience and proficiency in high pressure, competitive situations.
  • Have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal; you have a track record of giving successful presentations.
  • Ability to think on your feet in conversation and answer unexpected questions with ease.
  • Demonstrate empathy for customer struggles and challenges.
  • Resilient in the face of objections and rejection.
  • Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced and high growth environment.
  • Passionate about sales and professional development.
  • Highly organized and able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Easily builds rapport and establishes relationships with prospects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to convey them over the phone.
  • Willingness to try new concepts and open to coaching.
  • Ability to develop confidence in using programs like HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn, and Nooks.
