Financing Specialist (Infrastructure Finance) (SG Americas Securities, LLC, New York, NY)
Multiple positions available. Build and customize bespoke financial models for debt advisory mandates, including running scenarios and sensitivities; Actively work on the internal credit process in terms of Know Your Client (“KYC”), compliance, preparation of the credit documents to be submitted to the senior management and the risk department, management of the internal financing tools to calculate the profitability, the capital consumption, the loss given default and the counterparty risk of the transaction; Contribute to preparation of information memorandum, offering memo and other presentations to support the capital raising processes with banks, bond underwriters, investors, rating agencies and other financiers; Provide support on commercial document negotiations on behalf of equity sponsors on advisory mandates, including concession agreements, design-build contracts, operation & maintenance contracts, and, as lead arranger, on lending mandates; Contribute to financing document drafting, including term sheets, commitment letters, credit agreements and others, on behalf of equity sponsors on advisory mandates and, as lead arranger, on lending mandates; Support senior management in marketing and origination of debt and advisory business opportunities; Maintain a knowledge of developments in the Infrastructure sector as well as current transactions and opportunities in the market; Assist in bid preparation on large and complex PPPs on advisory mandates. Telecommuting may be permitted up to 2 days per week. When not telecommuting, must report to SG Americas Securities, LLC, 245 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10167. Salary: $200,000 - $275,000 per year.
Profile requiredMaster’s degree or U.S. equivalent in Business Management, Management, International Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, plus 3 years of professional experience as a Financial Analyst, Financial Strategist, or any occupation/position/job title involving building financial models for infrastructure financing at a global financial institution. Must also have the following special skills: 3 years of professional experience performing financial calculations (including profitability, capital consumption, counterparty risk, and default loss); 3 years of professional experience utilizing Excel to build and run financial models in infrastructure financing; 3 years of professional experience working through the credit process and performing financial analysis and credit analysis; and 3 years of professional experience reviewing and negotiating finance documentation (including term sheets, commitment letters, and credit agreements).
