Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be Board Certified or Eligible by the ABA in Anesthesiology and Pediatric Anesthesiology.
The candidate should be providing direct patient care to neonates, infants and children at minimum 20% of their time.
They are expected to have prior leadership and supervisory responsibilities in an academic medical organization.
Knowledge of financial aspect of healthcare is recommended but not required.
Job Description:
The Division Chief, Pediatric Anesthesiology will provide strategic leadership and direction for all aspects of the Division. They will be responsible for all planning, policy, operations and oversight of academic and research programs of the Division, and will partner with Peri-operative leadership team for clinical operation planning. The Division Chief will actively participate in the recruitment and retention of division faculty who will have a direct reporting line. The Chief is expected to participate in one or more leadership roles within the department, University and/or Banner University Medical Center-Tucson.
Qualified candidates must possess a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution and must be eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Arizona. The candidate must also be eligible for a University of Arizona appointment at the Associate or Full Professor rank.
