The Hospitality Retail Cashier is responsible for ensuring that guests receive an exceptional level of

service within Sodexo Live!'s retail merchandise outlets and points of sale. Assigned work areas may

include permanent stands or mobile stands or kiosks, typically within a sporting arena, as well as in-

venue retail stores and / or stand-alone retail stores where sports-related merchandise is sold.

The Hospitality Retail Cashier will support Sodexo Live!'s goal to be #1 in Event Hospitality by upholding

Sodexo Live!'s standards for handling cash and credit card transactions.

Supporting Actions :

Participate in and foster positive team relations with fellow cashiers, other Hospitality Retail

department employees and management.

• Follow all Sodexo Live! uniform and grooming standards.
• Attend pre-shift or pre-game check-in meetings and follow instructions from managers and

assignments.

• Follow established procedure for time and attendance and taking assigned meal breaks.
• Apply consistent focus on the customer and pay close attention to detail in the performance of all

tasks.

Acknowledge each guest who enters Hospitality retail areas; Display alert posture, smile, make

direct eye contact and offer a sincere verbal greeting; Be courteous and professional in all

interactions; Demonstrate Sodexo Live! standards for guest service.

Offer assistance to guests in locating specific desired merchandise; proactively inquire if they are

in search of a particular item.

Be fully knowledgeable of merchandize inventory and available styles, colors, sizes and option

for each item; Offer proactive assistance in answering guest questions; in instances where you

are unsure of an answer to a guest's question, contact Retail Supervisor or Manager to find out.

Use suggestive selling techniques by recommending specific items, eg : "This is our best seller,"

or "This is my personal favorite."

Utilize up-selling techniques by recommending additional items that complement items already

being purchased.

Continually observe surroundings and monitor guests in retail areas to ensure they are properly

attended to, even when 'just browsing'; immediately alert Security of any suspicious activity.

Maintain positive, on-going communication with Retail Supervisor; Relate information regarding

guest complaints and / or feedback to ensure that customer needs are always met; Make proactive

suggestions for improving the customer experience in retail outlets.

Take initiative in fulfilling special guest requests and be creative in resolving guest challenges and

complaints; Involve a supervisor when previous methods have been unsuccessful.

Perform other tasks and duties from time to time, as directed.

All staff members must pass and maintain a 10 year federally mandated background check.
