Principal Function:The Steward Supervisor serves as a right hand to the Executive Steward by leading shifts and directly supervising the stewarding crew. They will assist in ensuring cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen, maintenance of key equipment and the inventory, storage and distribution of the facility's supply of banqueting and service items such as silver, china, glassware and linen.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Assists in monitoring and organizing the flow of activity within the kitchen in a way that complements and supports quality food preparation and service
• Ensure appropriate staff coverage and establish and delegate daily work duties
• Assist in fulfilling needs and requirements for convention, catering and/or game day events
• Work with Executive Steward to conduct regular inspections of equipment throughout work areasto ensure efficient and proper functioning

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or College degree or combination of education and work experience to support on-the-job
  effectiveness.
• Must possess strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, controls, and ability to perform all catering-related positions.
• Ability to understand written and oral direction and to communicate same with others.
• Ability to promote and participate in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and in a high stress, fast paced environment
