Softek Global Services is Hiring a Senior Program Manager Near Alexandria, VA

Softek Global Services provides both operations & strategic support to tribal 8(a) & commercial organizations. Our client is a Tribal-Owned, SBA certified 8(a) small business and trusted federal partner, offering low-risk, fast-path to agile development, lean operations and digital transformations. They have a need for a Senior Program Manager to join their team. This is a fulltime hybrid role in Alexandria, VA. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

The Senior Program Manager oversees the planning and execution of complex IT projects or programs. Leads programs in Agile software development, DevSecOps, Cloud, and Cyber within our Federal Practice unit. Our Federal Practice unit is responsible for enabling transformative improvements and IT modernization for our client's mission-critical solutions. This position reports to the VP of Client Services.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to project deadlocks and resolving issues and constraints through consensus and sound judgment.
  • Work closely with the development teams (SDEs, Data Scientists, Product Managers, UX Designers) and play a leadership role in product architecture and design.
  • Develop, cultivate, and manage client relationships; maintain lines of communication and delivery with government contracts and contracts technical representative staff. Assist in team development while holding teams accountable for their commitments and removing roadblocks to their work; leverage organization resources to improve capacity for project work; and interview, select, develop, and evaluate team members. Define and manage project management processes and champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for technical project management.
  • Team build and promote the empowerment of the team, ensure that each team member is fully engaged in the project and making a meaningful contribution, and encourage a sustainable pace with high levels of quality for the team.
  • Manage project financials and supporting contract documents ensuring a healthy project gross margin, appropriate staff utilization, funding and contracts paperwork, invoicing and payments, budge to actual variances, financial and staffing projections, estimate to complete and estimate at completion, project management review reporting, and, if appropriate, earned-value reporting.
  • Prioritize, lead, and manage tasking of project team and completion of assignments.
  • Evaluate, prioritize, and manage impacts of project scope changes.
  • Collect and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills required by the position:

  • College Degree in Business, Sciences, Information Technology.
  • Minium of at least 10 years of professional experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with team members and management and explain technical issues to all stakeholders at all levels of the project.
