Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (07:30 - 16:00) Description**CAN START PENDING VA LICENSE; MUST BE ABLE TO VERIFY VA LICENSE APPLICATION** Profession: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Schedule: 5x8s, 730a-4p Call: One night per week, one weekend per month. Call hours are 1730-0630 Mon-Fri and 24hrs Sat-Sun Duration: 13-weeks Department Description: General nuclear med studies (bones, renals, gastric emptying, GI bleeds, HIDAs, Thyroid uptake/scan, parathyroids, VQ perfusions), cardiac and EPT/CT Daily Caseload: 15-18 Rooms: 4 & PET/CT Ages: All ages. Adolescents-Geriatrics Job duties: Prepare, administer, and measure radioactive isotopes in therapeutic, diagnostic, and tracer studies using a variety of radioisotope equipment. Prepare stock solutions of radioactive materials and calculate doses to be administered by radiologists. Subject patients to radiation. Requirements
General Skills: IV starts, phlebotomy, EKGs, PACS
Nuclear Med Procedure Experience: Cardiac, bone scan, brain scan, lung scan, renal flow, thyroid studies, SPECT, myocardial
Certs : BLS, NMTCB [[ARRT preferred]]
VA license (or) proof of application & proof of incumbent active license from another state and application of VA license
Expereince: Min 2 years of Nuc Med Tech experience. Independent work is required. Traveler must be experienced and proficient.
Seasoned travelers preferred. Manager will consider first-time travelers if Tech is very experienced.
