Position Title : IT Project Manager

Location : Maine

Contract : Long Term

Looking for someone local in Maine currently or Nearby States is also Fine.

Candidates can work remotely.

Looking for an IT project manager with vendor management and government experience for a yearlong contract with possible extensions.

Essential Skills:

Profound comprehension of Project Management methodologies and a general awareness of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.

Prior experience in state government roles.

Proven track record of collaboration with multiple teams.

Necessary Qualifications and Experience:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent, complemented by five years of experience in project management.

Deep understanding of Project Management methodologies and a wide awareness of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies.

A solid understanding of government structures is desirable.

Exceptional ability to operate effectively in both business and technical environments.

Proficient in using technical project management tools.

Demonstrated initiative and the ability to set ambitious goals.

Excellent negotiation skills with business and IT partners regarding business requirements and timelines for medium-sized initiatives.

Proven ability to garner support among peers and navigate challenging situations effectively.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance detail gathering with problem resolution.

Exceptional ability to identify and apply different communication mediums based on content and audience at all levels (both internal and external ) to achieve the intended goal.

Advanced skills in PC applications (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.) are required. Preference will be given to individuals with experience managing vendors.
