Job Details

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Technical Program Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Tampa, FL or Irving , TX.

Responsibilities :
  • Lead the Transformation efforts across multiple strategic programs spanning globally. This includes Standardization of Core Banking products/capabilities/flows across multiple Lines of Business, Platform Hardening, and planning of strategic Migration/Conversion to a Target State Platform stack.
  • Responsible for facilitating and leading conversations with multiple stakeholders like Product Managers across multiple Lines of Business, Technology teams, Operations etc.
  • Negotiate & influence internally with senior leaders across functions, as well as Communicate with External parties as necessary.
  • Requires senior technical leadership and acumen to ensure that the program is achieving the business objectives and laying the foundation of a strong target state platform, architecture, operating model, and migration approach. This is required to make the transformation repeatable as the rollout is executed across multiple countries.
  • Facilitate conversations and agreement with senior Product Management, Product Owners, Operations and other stakeholders to help ensure alignment on Platform strategy and Transformation execution.
  • Lead the Standardization of capabilities/flows/partner interactions/data attributes across multiple platforms globally, working with Product and Business partners from several lines of business.
  • Set up strong governance on Capability/Scope definition as well as Business Design Authority forum to review and track functional decisions.
  • Organize strategy, gap analysis work into an Agile Train, responsible for steering the ART; facilitates program level events: PI Pre Planning and Planning, Scrum of Scrums, PO Sync, System Demo, Inspect and Adapt.
  • Identify ways to simplify the platform, architecture. Collaborate with other Operations & Technology teams to ensure technology solution aligns to the standards and best practices and ensure dependencies and risks are addressed.
  • Facilitate workshops, functional and technical solutioning sessions, driving closure and consensus with both business and technical teams. Solve issues / challenges by factoring input from partners and diverse points of view.
  • End to end ownership of key program decisions ranging from target state application architecture, interactions between Core Banking platform and other partners, selection of vendor capabilities to be used, adoption of automation processes for transformation.
  • Drive culture change to help break down silos and have a holistic end-to-end view of business flows.
Required Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
  • 10 years of combined experience in banking and financial services industry and 5-8 years Technical Program Management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in knowledge with SAFe Agile methodologies.
  • Strong domain functional experience in on or more of cash management, payments, receivables, liquidity management, working capital solutions, commercial card programs, trade finance.
  • Strong experience in large transformations/conversions/migrations, simplifying platform architecture, while adopting cutting-edge design patterns.
  • Experience with modernizing legacy technology platforms in an incremental manner.
  • Strong experience with different approaches for data conversion/transformation.
  • Experience owning an application end-to-end facing off to senior business stakeholders.
  • Proactive Problem-solver. Possessing critical thinking skills to comprehend complex issues, policies, business requirements.
  • Demonstrated sense of responsibility and capability to deliver quickly.
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task multiple complex projects and changing priorities.
  • Negotiation skills and ability to have challenging conversations.
Preferred Skills:
  • Preferred experience working with Core banking platforms.
  • Preferred familiarity with Accounting principles.
  • Preferred experience with one or more of database design and engineering, real-time integration/middleware technologies, high throughput 24x7 systems, canonical data models, CI/CD pipelines, componentized microservices architecture.
