JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Azure Technical Lead with a proven track record in leading cloud migration projects, particularly migrations from AWS to Azure. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in both AWS and Azure cloud platforms, along with excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and support migration initiatives. As an Azure Technical Lead, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing seamless migrations while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability in Azure environments.

We are looking for a bright minded, self-motivated, team player with a strong background and skilled with a high degree of intellectual curiosity and abilities with:

• Migration Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define migration objectives, assess existing AWS infrastructure, and devise comprehensive migration strategies tailored to meet business requirements.
• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of engineers and architects in executing migration projects, providing technical guidance, resolving complex issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
• Architecture Design: Design scalable and resilient Azure architectures, incorporating services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Active Directory to meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
• Infrastructure Provisioning: Oversee the provisioning and configuration of Azure resources, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform to automate deployment processes.
• Data Migration: Plan and execute data migration tasks, including database migration, data transfer, and synchronization between AWS and Azure environments while minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
• Application Migration: Coordinate the migration of applications, workloads, and services from AWS to Azure, ensuring compatibility, functionality, and performance in the target environment.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security controls and compliance measures in Azure environments, including identity and access management, network security, encryption, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor Azure infrastructure performance, identify optimization opportunities, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create documentation, runbooks, and migration guides to capture migration processes, configurations, and best practices. Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and provide training to team members and stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on Azure services, features, and best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Architect in Azure cloud environments.
• Extensive experience in designing, deploying, and managing Azure infrastructure and services.
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud platform and services, with hands-on experience in AWS to Azure migrations.
• Expertise in Azure migration tools and methodologies, such as Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery, and Azure Database Migration Service.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting languages.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management tools like Azure DevOps or Jenkins.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert are a plus.
