SOHA Structural Engineers is accepting applications for an in-person Structural Design Engineer position to join our team in San Francisco. We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of 2 years experience in design engineering of buildings and structures utilizing one or more of the following construction materials: concrete, steel, masonry and wood (basic fundamentals of wood design as a minimum). Responsibilities

• Structural analysis, design and basic detailing for various types of buildings and materials using applicable building codes.
• Coordination of design work with in-house staff as well as other design professionals including Architects and other Engineering disciplines
• Assist in preparation of the construction documents and other discipline’s coordination.
• Effectively communicate with the Principal-In Charge, Project Manager and Engineer, and other design team members.
• Sufficient knowledge and proficiency with basic engineering software.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience designing various structural engineering projects.
• Master’s degree in structural engineering is preferred; undergraduate degree from an ABET accredited engineering school is required.
• Professional Civil Engineer license is preferred; EIT Certification is required.
• Experience with basic engineering software.
