Ayurprana has now opened a facility called So-Hum Mountain Healing Resort, that will help facilitate healing at all levels for an individual to release body work, detox panchakarma therapies, and educational class (yoga, breath work, meditation, nutrition, etc....) to help support an individual in his / her healing process. Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sohum Mountain Healing is a space where nature and ancient wisdom come together to create transformational experiences. Guests can spend their days immersed in the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and Yoga to allow themselves a space to reflect, heal, and awaken to a greater sense of Self. Position Statement The General Manager oversees and coordinates daily operations of a luxurious 15 room Bed and Breakfast and Wellness Center beautifully nestled just 20 min from downtown Asheville in the majestic Blue Ridge Mountains. Must ensure highest standards for cleanliness, product quality, food service, and guest experience. The ideal candidate will be positive, energetic and knowledgeable of Inn/Bed and Breakfast operations. Must be hands on in all aspects of the day-to-day operations with the focus on exceptional guest experience and daily management responsibilities. Must have flexible schedule and be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays. This position is an exempt position and is located in Asheville, NC. This is not a remote position. Primary Duties
Ensure impeccable upkeep of the property and for engaging with and greeting guests.
Ensures that all areas of the Inn are properly cleaned and ready for guests' arrival.
Anticipates and assesses guests' needs and responds in a courteous and professional manner.
Plans for, shops for, and prepares breakfast for all guests daily.
Responds to emails, answers phone calls, makes some reservations in the absence of the sales team, monitors and manages reservations.
Works with the sales & marketing team on matters pertaining to reservations, customer reviews, marketing opportunities, brand promotions, etc.
Manage all aspects of operations including housekeeping, building maintenance, property and grounds, and overall
Coordinate with and support Wellness Director and Wellness team on overall delivery and services of all Spa treatments and offerings
Coordinate with and support Executive Chef on all F&B experiences
Monitors and maintains proper inventory of all supplies; cleaning, kitchen, guest toiletries, etc.
Ensures housekeeping supplies are well maintained.
Support in inspecting rooms and all common areas on a daily basis and promptly addresses any and all issues that may be present.
Develops, implements, and maintains deep cleaning schedules.
Manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
Prepares accurate and timely reports as required.
Trains, supervises, motivates, and develops front office and housekeeping staff and manages workflow.
Provides day-to-day guidance and oversight of subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance.
Keeps up to date on overall activities, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
The Innkeepers and Operations Director may also have marketing responsibilities online, via phone, and in person.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements Qualifications
2 years related experience or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Deep desire and passion for health and wellness. Knowledge or experience in Ayurveda preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Ability to work with all levels of management and subordinates
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Ability to manage priorities and workflow
Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams

Serve save certification a plus but not required
