Position: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Albany, New York

Position Type: Full-time, Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2024-2025 school year in Albany, New York. The successful candidate will provide prehensive speech and language services to students, collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to support students' munication skills and academic success.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students with speech and language disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' munication needs and goals.
• Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups, using evidence-based practices and innovative techniques.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate speech and language goals into students' educational programs.
• Monitor and document students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outes.
• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving speech and language services.
• Stay current with research and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
• Engage in ongoing professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• New York state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology (or eligibility for licensure).
• Certificate of Clinical petence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
